a very long shopping day feat. too much polkadot and some good old oxfam

(Let's pretend I'm not posting old pics while I wait to have enough free time to do this properly, yeah?) The day I went pink!!!! No regrets just pure love for the bubblegum mermaid lifestyle. All credit for these gorgeous locks must go to the beloved Tasha (@tasher_spencer on instagram), who is one of few who knows how to battle my hair and come out with something wicked. The barrier is broken...which colour next......so many funky options at my fingertips!

snuggly jumpers and black coffee for those dreaded mondays

This jumper is my faaaaaave thing right now, I still can't believe I got it! A vintage Yves Saint Laurent find on depop for a right bargain, and it fits like a beautiful oversized dream. I wore it with a striped long sleeve top and a pair of navy tailored trousers, but I'm afraid my first work day was way too busy to get any cheeky snaps in! Stripes and simple block colours are always a winning combo for something a wee bit sophisticated but still easygoing. I used to spend a lot of childhood days at this house and it feels strange to be back. I love old creaky Victoria terraced houses, with sooty outsides and endless character. I must have been about five years old when me and my brother carved our initials into that concrete. Now I'm running errands that include trying to find Michael Palin's contact details! Weird stuff.

In case you went ahead and skipped the About page, here are a few little things about me:

• I'm Vicky and I'm 19 years old. I was an English and Classics student but wasn't feelin it, so I'm back to the drawing board and a lot undecided.
• I've been blogging in various forms for too many years....too many...but this is me trying to have a somewhat Serious shot at it. Hopefully not too serious though, not sure I could manage that.
• Aside from writing a lot of unfinished poems, I love clothes and fashion-y things. I've always been a total clothes hoarder, and that habit seems set to continue. I'm interested in trends and the way they filter through different stages of the fashion industry, but I'm more interested in the influence of trends and their artistic origins. That's a very pretentious statement, on second thought. I actually just like aesthetically pleasing things and things that are ugly in a really nice appealing way.
• I'm into music too, and I am so keen about the symbiotic relation between music and fashion in culture!
• Vivienne Westwood was my idol at 10 years old and I think that's a fairly good starting point for finding out who I am.
• I collect lipstick and plants. Dogs are my favourite. I'm a feminist and get rowdy about social justice and politics. I'm in a very strange place right now.
• Hopefully lots of style posts and other lifestyle things will be coming soon xoxoxoxo
